Front Range Jewelry creations feature a variety of well-known and exotic semi-precious stones, beads, and pearls to create custom jewelry designs. We combine these with sterling silver, 14K gold-fill, and other quality elements. Listed below is information on many colorful, exciting and unique stones and beads we use.

SEMI-PRECIOUS STONES

Amber – Popular for thousands of years, these beads are crafted from translucent fossil resin varying in color from yellow to light brown.

Agate - This form of quartz comes in a wide range of colors, including blues, greens, grays, oranges, and browns. 

Amethyst – Widely used translucent stone in many variations of purple. Goes will with other stones and pearls and is used in both casual and dressy jewelry.

Aventurine - This stone is a semi-translucent stone that comes in a variety of greens, oranges and peaches.

Blackstone - Opaque black stone, commonly found in China , that combines will with many other accent stones and findings. Most often used in casual pieces.

Bloodstone Unique opaque stone that is green with some red streaks in varying shapes. Very popular to wear in the fall.

Blue Lace Agate - A beautiful light blue opaque stone that blends well with multiple shades of purple, as well as black & blue.

Carnelian – A form of agate, this translucent to semi-translucent red to reddish orange stone is found primarily in India . It is available in varying sizes and shapes.

Fluorite – This is a lovely translucent stone that incorporates various shades of purples and greens and can be made into dangle pieces.

Garnet – This popular translucent bead is typically a deep wine-color, available in many shapes and sizes, and blends well with many other semi-precious stones and pearls.

Jasper - This opaque stone often incorporates many shades including greens, rusts, creams, and dusty pinks. It makes for wonderful items worn in the fall.

Lapis Lazuli – A favorite opaque stone, it is available in many shades of dark blue and available in various shapes. It is used to create interesting and beautiful items that work with both business outfits and blue jeans.

Moonstone – This opaque stone is comprised of feldspar with a rainbow sheen in a variety of colors including white, gray, peach and pink.

Obsidian – This stone is actually an opaque volcanic glass; colors include blacks, browns, gold, green, and gray.

Peridot - Comprised of magnesium iron silicate, this translucent stone is found in lime, yellowish, light, or dark green. It is popular to wear in the spring.

Rhodonite - This opaque stone is rose pink with black/gray veins.

Sodalite – This is a lovely opaque blue stone, usually with interesting markings that is well complemented by sterling silver bead caps and spacers.

Tiger Eye – This is a unique opaque stone in various shades of brown and gold.

Topaz – A popular and beautiful translucent stone is most often available in shades of turquoise, gold and golden brown.

Turquoise - This very popular stone consists of copper, aluminum, and phosphorous. It varies in color from blue to green, and includes different colored inclusions.

Unikyte - Often referred to as the "Christmas Stone" this opaque bead is green with rose highlights. It is the perfect compliment for any fall or winter fashions.

Cloisonné – These very special wire and multicolor enamel beads are usually the centerpieces of any design.

Crystal – These translucent and sparkling beads come in a variety of colors and shapes and add a dressy accent to any piece.

Goldstone - This man made opaque stone comes in brown and deep blue and is actually glass and copper oxide.
